On Independence Day

Finally, after over a month without OOTD post,I finally am posting this!I was requested by my husband to post my OOTD pictures as he missed it a lot :P

Today,I attended an open house of a friend who I got to know from the visit to orphanage last year. She was surprised to know that I am married.I totally forgot to invite some friends to my wedding :P

It was a nice event, and after that we went for some durian!
It was my first and maybe the last durian eating season for me this year,or more years to come.I was glad to finally eat my favourite fruit!

Have a nice weekend,everyone!

Wedding Journey Part 2

This is the last entry of my wedding journey.Hope you're still fine reading this entry :P
So this is how our pelamin/dais looked like.Yes,it's a freaking simple one, because my husband wanted it that way,and I respected his decision. But I can't help but hearing some people commented nastily about my pelamin just because it was simple yet a bit pricey.I tried my best to keep my calmness and politeness but can't help but burst into nasty respond to her back :P
*Nasib la kutuk sangat pelamin orang lain*

Pomander Balls DIYed by me and my sisters.Love doing this as it is simple and can save a lot of money as well.

For make-up,I opted for a very light make-up because I basically don't like heavy bridal make-up eventhough many people say with light make-up your pictures won't look that nice.
Some friends commented it looked just nice as it was not heavy, and more importantly,my husband recognized me as who I am rather than being made up to turn into someone else :P
You know what I mean, don't you?

For shoes,I don't think much and just bought a pair from C&K.I love the glitters on the shoes and more importantly, they suited for both my solemnization and reception dresses because of its nature color.
For the Hand Bouquet,I bought 2 pots of flowers 2 weeks before the wedding day because I knew during raya holiday, the roads are so jammed and many flower shops or supermarket were not supplied with fresh flowers due to holidays.

Unfortunately, the other pot didn't grow so well, don't know what was wrong,so that explains why I only had one color of flowers for my hand bouquet for 2 days!
Btw,My mom did the bouquet for me.Thanks mom!

So,this is how our bedroom looked like.It was DIYed fully my me and my family.Mom parents chose the curtains and flowers arrangements, and the rest were done by me.At first,I was not so sure about the color of the bedroom, but at the end,it looked so perfect and cozy :P

This is what we had for meja beradap.Very simple right? No udang panjat2,and I was the one who cooked the chicken for this event.Haha,I cooked the chicken one hour before the event started, but Ramon's family commented the food was good.Fuuhh!I asked my sister to do the tissue decoration, never knew she was good at decorating the table tissue.

And this is how the canopy for local guests looked like. The rest was arranged by my parents, including the food selections for guests that day.

I think not too much if I show you my wedding rings.Well, being a typical Malaysian,I love golden ring but it should not be over the top, just a simple one,so I told Ramon that was a must :P
And then, being a European, they prefer for the couple to have couple rings and normally they opted for silver.
So,Ramon got us a pair of Palladium rings with our names and date of marriage carved on them.

Lastly,a little review of my wedding venue. We had our nikah session at state mosque,Masjid Sultan Yahya Petra,Kota Bharu.
Since I was a teenager,I always had a dream to be married there, for some reasons, the mosque itself is a new mosque,so the color and the architecture of the mosque is modern, and that's the reason why I always love this mosque.
Finally my dream came true ;-)

That's all for my wedding review.
Have a nice day everyone!

Wedding Journey Part 1

Hola friends,
How have you guys been doing?I am well despite the fact  that my husband has left me a week ago ;(
Looks like this long distance episode is not gonna end just yet.

Well,we hope for not too long as I am currently waiting for my visa to be ready which we hope to get it soon before I can fly to Germany.

A week after our wedding was fulfilled with a lot of activities especially with the process of submitting documents  for the visa at German Embassy, and then we headed to Penang to meet my old grandma who was very eager to come to my wedding but due to her poor condition,my mom's siblings didn't allow her,so being a good grandkids(hehe) we drove there for a night stay and came back a day before Ramon's flight back home.

It has been a hectic week for both of us,and at this moment,we both have to be very patient and strong in absence of each other.

It sucks to the core, you know,to be separating with your loved ones, especially when you're attached to them.

Nevertheless,I have a story to tell!
A little review of my wedding!
I may separate the story in 2 entries because there are just so many pictures to publish in one post.
I still have to pick our wedding pictures to be sent back to the OP for editing and photoalbum,so until then, here's the story about our wedding journey.

Guestbook Table. At first my family thought the idea is gonna be wasted because they thought not many people will come up to sign the book. But guess what, many people did,and we were so overwhelmed with all the precious thoughts!

The crepe paper flowers in can vase.I made it with my sisters and we put all over places.A good idea for cost-saving and it was a fun activity to do with your siblings!

We also had this tiny little paper clipper made by my beloved mother-in-law.After the event, the guests can take the clippers back home.

"Meja Beradap".The original meja beradap by the bridal boutique was quite plain and simple,so I added more DIY stuff on it,at first I wanted to put more and more until my husband said no :P.
He knew I won't stop until someone said so.

Our wedding cakes!I said no to fondant cakes so creamed cakes were my choices. They were made by my mom's friend aka my teacher from standard one.

Also alongside the wedding cakes were the cute tiny cupcakes, also made by my standard one teacher.

I gave up at first to make this flower-tied sampin, and wanted to go with the plain-tied sampin until my cousin's son was kind enough to help us doing it.He said he did it few times before,so he was quite good at it.Thanks saviour!

Everytime I looked at this dress,my heart was always filled with anger and dissapointment. It was at last saved by a kind friend, who fixed it until it looks nicer than before, but I can't still forget what the original tailor had done to it.But it was fixed perfectly and many people commented nicely about it too ;-)

Hantarans from him to me.The watch and bracelet missing in the picture due to safety reason, but the fast-finishing items from the hantarans are the Hanuta,German chocolate sandwiches that taste so good,it is basically a sandwich of nutella filling between two waffles. Many people liked it and ask for some more!

Hantarans from me to him. Also the watch and tablet missing due to safety reason. All the hantaran decorations of both sides made by me.

So many pictures already, will continue in part 2.

Till then!

Raya 2013

Hello guys,
Raya was over(not so much I think :P) and weird as it is,I still haven't updated my raya story this year.
Truth to be told,we didn't have a big celebration this year due to my wedding, but we had one at least ;-)

It was also Ramon's first raya celebration this year, having said that,he enjoyed a lot of good raya food and experienced something very different than he ever did in the past 28 years.

We also did enjoy our small celebration like any other previous years.
So,as I have mentioned before,I didn't have anything extravaganza to wear on raya days, due to more attention given to my wedding dresses.

I only had 2 baju kurung custom-made for me,but what made our day the most is the fact that all my family members were at presence on raya day.

Last year one of my sisters couldn't make it as she was on duty on hari raya!
I told her nothing to be sad about because I had 4 times of raya far away from home!

So guys, how was your raya celebration this year?

In the next entry,I may write a bit about my wedding things.

Till then.

*Tahun depan kena balas dendam ni pakai baju raya cantik2 :P*

Just Married

Salam guys,
How have you guys been doing? I'm doing very good here, and I think I have to break this silence from world blogging by writing this post tonight :-)

Alhamdulillah, this year's raya celebration was awesome despite the fact that we had bigger celebration which is my wedding. On 10th of August,I have officially become Mrs Bisswanger to my dear husband.

No perfect word to describe how much happy I am now that my life is fulled with joy and happiness. Allah has granted me with the most beautiful family I could ever ask for,and now He brought another person into my life.

We have gone through so many obstacles for the past 3 years, that makes us much stronger than before, and we know bigger challenges will come into our way,but InsyaAllah,we'll never look back and give up before time comes.

I decided to post these 2 photos from our solemnization and Reception days each from my camera for you guys. We're still waiting for our official pictures from OP,but until then, hope you guys enjoy our great moments together.

Love, Hidaya and Ramon
