Although yesterday I've mentioned it was my last post of 2012,today I decided to be on EL as I have some important stuff to settle and going out during lunch hour to settle those won't be much helpful.

And I am just thrilled to show to you guys my new TUTU skirt I got at a very reasonable price! Can't believe I have been searching this piece high and low everywhere, even checked some popular websites like ASOS and ROMWE with hope I could find one,but they all left me frustrated as nothing suitable I could find for me.

Until one day when I was wandering in PKNS Shah Alam and I passed by one shop in a quite remoted area, and from outside of the shop window,I saw many tutu skirts sold there in various colors!

Can't believe I saw them at place I could have never expected to sell tutu.
Well, who said tutu is only for ballerina or for a little girl?I was tremendously happy when I get to wear this, and I'll ensure you, you'll be seeing me wearing this skirt over and over again.

I wanna wish everyone of my readers Happy New Year 2013 and hope you have a wonderful journey ahead.

I will cook a special NYE's pasta tonight, well out of can actually,so nothing so special about it :P

Till then.

As Blue As the Sky

As blue as the sky,and as enormous as it is,that's how beautiful and big my love for you is :P
Hehe, that's just a random "pantun" from me.

How are you guys? And how did you spend your christmas holiday yesterday?Me?as I spoke in earlier post,I wanted to go to Sunway Pyramid and take the pictures of the christmas deco there for Ramon, which I did,but only driving around and I gave up by exiting it as the parking lots were all full and almost possible to find a vacant one,so I decided to drive away after 10 minutes.Haha

Next week is the new year and school will start back, and I may also be back at school ;-)
no big school like master's degree or pHD,but something quite big to begin with :P
What is it?Let's just wait and see.

I wore everything blue from head to toe today and on repeat. After a while,I realized I got bored shopping clothes and clothes and clothes!

Speaking of which,I still have a big basket of clothes unfolded :P

Recipe 16:Carrot Cake

Hello guys,
Merry Christmas to all my christian readers and Happy New Year 2013!
As I promised, here is the recipe of my baking last week.I actually prepared a carrot cake using steaming method instead of baking it.Why?Because I got suggestion from some friends that steaming can make a cake moister than baking it.Which the end result is as similar as baking it.In fact I took 2 hours alone to let it cook although baking takes 40 to 50 minutes only.

Baking isn't really my thing because I was never good at it :P I mean baking pastries(cakes, biscuits, cookies etc) but I still love baking lasagna, mac and cheese and so on.

One key to the success of baking is measurement. When baking, measurement does matter,if you don't follow the exact measurement as suggested, your result might end up unsuccessful.

Like this carrot cake,I actually went through a failure at first because I misunderstood the word "cup" and "mug".The recipe said "2 cups of flour",but I used a mug to measure the flour, and after 5 minutes of whisking the flour mixture,it was very thick and there is no chance the mixture can turn up to be a cake :P

However,I did not give up just yet, went downstairs when I ran out of eggs and flour in my first failure,I made the second mixture.

Well,well,well.Much talking,now it's time for the recipe!

2 cups of flour*
A pinch of salt*
2 tbs of ground cinnamon*
2 tbs of baking powder*
2 tbs of soda bicarbonat*

4 eggs**
1 to 2 cups of  white sugar(depends on your definition of sweetness)**
2 to 3 drops of vanilla essence**
1 1/4 cup of vegetable oil(Preferably corn oil)**

2 to 3 cups of shredded carrot
Chopped Walnut
A cup of coconut flakes
Chopped Pineapple(I bought canned pineapple)

1.Mix all Ingredients * in a bowl and set aside
2.In another bowl, whisk Ingredients ** using electrical mixer/or own hands until everything blends together smoothly and frothy
3.Add the flour mixture little by little in the egg mixture and whisk altogether until everything blends well.
4.Lastly add the shredded carrot, walnut, coconut flakes and pineapple in the mixture, whisk for a few more minutes and ready to bake or steam

5.If you want to steam(Which will take you around 2 hours of time),preheat your steamer for about 10 minutes. If you choose to bake(The baking time is around 40 to 50 minutes),preheat your oven at 190 degrees celcius for about 10 to 15 minutes.
6.When your oven or steamer is heated, place your ingredient mixture in a cake pan, bake or steam!
7.Next is cream cheese frosting method.

Cream Cheese Frosting Method
1.When the cake is ready, cold it first in the fridge for few hours
2.Soften cream cheese and 1/2 butter
3.Whisk Cream cheese with butter, white sugar and few drops of vanilla essence.
4.Take out the cold cake and start spreading the frosting all over the cake, the thicker the better ;-)
5.After frosting, put back in the fridge and wait for few hours until the cream cheese becomes cold and serve!

I know it looks pretty ugly :P,but trust me,it's finger licking good

Happy baking,guys!

Dress Down II

Hello guys,
Another dress down day for me.It's so good to finally be at home longer than normal day, although tomorrow has to get back to the office before Christmas holiday.

Although it's a simple outfit ensemble from me today, but I accessorized it with a bib necklace I got recently from Diva and a tribal bracelet from Sarawak.

This Bib necklace and two more I got from Sale Rack at Diva at only RM21 from their original price,RM90!!
So,get yourself some while they still last.

What's your plan on Christmas holiday?I plan to go to Sunway Pyramid to shoot some pictures of the Chrismas deco there for my beloved Ramon as he requested me to do so when I told him that this year Sunway Pyramid made the deco based on architecture in Barcelona that has just been visited by Ramon a couple of months ago.

Until then,Bye.

Playing Bond Girl

Hello guys and happy weekend.
What a long week behind me,and finally I could sit back and relax at lovely home.
The past couple of weeks have been very hectic moments for me,work particularly and thus explains why I haven't been blogging lately.

Today for example,I just wanted to be at home, watching tv or cooking or baking like what I am doing now(recipe coming up right soon) and just have the time of my life.

Today also I decided to play with some make up and in particular, this lipstick I got recently,it's Maybelline  631 Red Garnet from Thejewels collection.

Putting it on reminds me of the on-off antagonist Bond Girl in the latest Skyfall movie, which name I don't remember.

I love to see her face in that movie and the color of the lipstick makes her look so fabulous yet sexy!

Though I am nothing near beautiful like her.

What's your plan for the weekend guys?

Can you spot a "love" word?Got this beautiful ring from Diva

Minty and Lacey

Happy Sunday,everyone ;-)
Hope weekend is treating everyone of you guys well,as it does to me.

Today indeed is a rainy day again, and so I decided to wear my not-so-thick sweater with my lace dress underneath and my water colored pants.

The sweater itself is short to be worn with skinny pants alone,so I decided to wear dress underneath :P
And I dumped my important stuff inside my only knapsack and went to movies.

I watched The Hobbit though I didn't understand again why would I fall for such movie :P
I never watched The Lord of the Ring or any sort of movies, because my brain cannot digest such thing, but The Hobbit was indeed a nice movie.

Not sure about watching the 2nd and 3rd part of it in time to come, though.
What did you do this weekend?

Plaid Affair

So,what's the deal with plaid?Well,I am a big fan of plaid patterned shirts, and I have a few of plaid shirts and do not mind to buy some more :P

For me,plaid could be worn for casual or even formal look, and truth to be told,I wear plaid to the office very often.

Last night I went to watch the currently happening Beauty and the Beast musical, and got myself at a VIP seat, very close to the stage(Thanks to Ramon) but being the clumsy and forgetful me always,I forgot to insert my camera's battery inside,so could only snap few pictures with my iphone. The 2 pictures at the most bottom won't do much justice, but hope it can can give you some idea of how fun and entertaining the musical was.

Well,if you must know me,I'm such a sucker for any fairy tales stories ;-)

What's your favourite fairy tales?

Lovey Dovey

Salam and good day everyone,
Here in Selangor is the public holiday today ;-)
Although If I would have known it earlier,I would have got myself a leave on Monday and drive or leave somewhere for a short trip :P

However,it is still a lovely day, indeed, because the weather is cloudy without thunderstorm today, and so I decided to spend my evening continuing reading my book and a cup of Toffee Nut Latte.

Wanted to get some more books from the current happening big book fair in Mines, but I have to plan ahead when to hit it as I heard, the fair is packed everyday with people buying books.

Let's see whether I'll make it eventually or not.Have you ever been there, guys?Any tips on parking, traffic or what time is the best time?

Oh,this piece of cute peplum I bought recently at an LRT station in KL :P
It seriously stole my heart away the first time I laid my eyes on it,and eventhough the lady of the booth almost closed down her shop that day,I begged to buy it :P

Furthermore,I love the material of it,especially so warm to wear in current weather. As many as hearts on it,that also tells how much I love it ;-)

I know it's super late, but I am currently obsessing with Millenium series
