Recipe 26:Self-frosting Nutella Cupcakes

I guess,I have an on-off relationship with Nutella. One time,I avoid this chocolate dip so much for its high calories and fat,and some other time,I badly crave for it like in this case.

I don't like to eat it with bread though,so I searched for a hint of how to enjoy eating nutella with something else until I found this super easy Self-FrostingNutella Cupcakes recipe.

There are many version of Nutella Cupcakes recipes,be it 90% Nutella-contained cupcakes,or in my recipe,I used like 40% of the nutella as the topping to the cakes.

So,check the method below and happy baking, guys!

Ingredients
200 g Flour
120 g Butter
3/4 cup of sugar
1 1/2 tbs baking powder
1 1/2 tbs Bicarbonate Soda
2 eggs
1/2 cup of fresh milk
few drops of essence vanilla
A jar of nutella

Methods
1.Preheat your oven to 150 degrees for 10 minutes and grease a 12 muffin pan with butter or cooking spray
2.Sift flour, baking powder and Bicarbonate soda and set aside
3.Meanwhile in another bowl, whisk the butter and sugar until perfectly mixed.
4.Add egg one at a time and keep mixing
5.Add essence vanilla next, and keep mixing
6.Add the flour in 3 addition.Alternately, add in milk in two addition.Start with flour and make sure end with flour as well.
7.Set aside.
8.Start filling the paper cup with 3/4 of the batter and add 1 full spoon of nutella.
9.Swirl the nutella to mix with the batter using a "lidi" or in my case,I used skewer stick to look like in the picture.

10.Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until toothpaste inserted in the cake comes out clean.
11.Enjoy!!

The Clock is Ticking

Hello guys,
As the weather got really hot lately,it didn't permit me to wear layers of clothes like I loved to.I might wear cardigan or camisole inside to hide the sheerness of the clothes, but other than that,I'd rather wear one layer piece only these days.Besides,I have transfered most of my blazers and outerwears to Germany.

About the scarf I wear in the pictures,it is a double-colored half-moon/D-cut scarf,so I can wear it on both side.See,I can save money with this scarf ;-)

The other day,I tried to find it at Jalan Tar,unfortunately I didn't find any like these. This one I bought at AEON Subang and the price is not that cheap.Thought I can get any cheaper if I ever found one at Jalan Tar.

Ah,feel a bit lazy to do my wedding DIY now,but no choice,I have to :P
The clock is ticking!!

This Weekend

Hello,
Weekend is coming to the end,but fret not, because next week we're gonna have a long weekend.Wooho!
long weekend means more time for me to do DIY and go buying some stuff for the big day.

This weekend,I went to Jalan Tar everday to have the fitting session with my tailor and boy,not just the weather was freaking hot on Saturday, but there were also many people buying stuff for raya.
Since I am focusing more on my wedding preparation this year,I only got 2 baju kurung tailored, nothing fancy and extravaganza this year.Haha.

If you guys wanna know what preparation that I do for my big day,you guys can follow me on instagram at @hidayash since I'm not gonna update about it here, haha, too lazy I guess.

Have a nice day,everyone!!

Recipe 25:Sheperd Pie

Salam guys,
So,it's been rainy quite frequently these days, right?Well,of course the sun never tends to hide as well, but we got those chilly rainy days sometimes.
Well, what weather has to do with food? This Sheperd Pie has something to do with it.
It's famous as comfort food during fall or winter time, but since Malaysia doesn't have 4 seasons, chilly and rainy day would do good too ;-)

I was first introduced to this Sheperd Pie at my friend's house when she was holding a raya open house back in 2009.That time,I tasted the pie and instantly fell in love, though my friend's Sheperd pie is quite hot with black pepper.

In my recipe,I still use the Black Pepper, but I only use very little amount of it,and add some other mixed herbs instead of using black pepper alone.

So,here's the recipe for you guys,

Ingredients
Minced Meat filling
Minced meat
Mixed Veggies
Beef Broth
One red onion
Few garlics
Tomato paste
Black Pepper
Mixed herbs,I used Tyme and Oregano
Olive Oil
Salt

Mashed Potato Topping
Mashed Potato
1/2 cup Full cream milk
Few spoons of butter
Black pepper
Salt

Parsley flakes for garnish

Methods
1.For Mince Meat filling, first, heat the frying pan with olive oil
2.Cook the minced meat until pinkish color gone and later add the diced red onion
3.Cook for several minutes more and next add chopped garlic.
4.When the meat is tender, add beef broth and keep mixing
5.Add the tomato paste, mix some more, add the mixed herbs and lastly add salt and pepper.
6.For Mashed potato topping, first boil the potatoes until soft
7.Mash the potato, add few spoons of butter, milk, salt and pepper
8.In a caserole, grease it with butter, and then pour the minced meat filling on the bottom of the caserole.
9.Top the caserole with mashed potato, and using a fork, scratch the surface for a nicer presentation.
10.Lastly,garnish with parsley flakes and bake in the oven at 175 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
11.Ready!!

Red

Salam ladies,
How have you been?
Believe it or not, this is my first entry of May,when it's almost middle of the month already.
Alhamdulillah,my wedding preparation goes smoothly, except some small hassle I have to get through.Don't really feel like writing it up here, but let's say,I seriously don't like to make business with people who don't know how to keep good reputation and professionalism of themselves.

Well,I practise "everyone needs a second chanc"e,but only if I can still hold on tight to my patience,I will give them what they deserve.

Oh,my,sorry for my babbling. If you notice clearly,I don'T feel like to dress up nicely these days,or wearing heels, the main reason why is because I need to walk in heat from one place to another to run errands.

It's not easy as most of the time,I have to do it all alone, considering my fiance is far far away, and there are times when I lost my mood to do all these things :(

Well, long distance isn't easy at all,but I hope at the end of the day there'll be a bright future for both of us.

Thank you for reading this!!
