Travel : Riquiwihr,Alsace

Last 2 weeks when we went for a day trip to Colmar,on the way back to Stuttgart we stopped by at a small town around 15kms away from Colmar called Riquiwihr. This town is famous as a wine producing town and it still looks more or less as it was in the middle age, making it so medieval and so beautiful.

Stepping in the alleys of this small town was like stepping in a fairy tale land, because of its old buildings with its old architecture.

We took a lot of pictures here because I was just in love with almost everything here. From the cute cafes and restaurants on the main street to the entrance of the resident houses in the smaller alleys.

Till then people.Have a nice weekend everyone!

Travel : Colmar,Alsace,France

Last weekend we went to a French city not far from Germany-France border called Colmar. We have been in this city in winter 2013 when I just got to know that I was pregnant with Alayna and still wanted to keep it secret from family that time.

Now we visited this city again, this time with our daughter. This city is not so big,so one can access to any part of the city just by walking.

This is a lovely city with many old buildings in typical german architecture. In fact this city once belonged to Germany long time ago before the Treaty of Versailles was agreed after the 1st world war that Germany had to let go the region of Alsace(The region where this city belongs to) and some other regions to France.

Today, this city is quite famous among tourists.

Till then people.Have a nice weekend!

When we were passing by this souvenir shop,Alayna kept begging us to have this doll "Nak,nak, nak" she said.We ignored her request and kept walking but she turned her head to look at these dolls.I just couldn't leave the place without buying it when seeing she was hardly eyeing on them :P

Just a local pizza shop, but the deco is so interesting.

Paris Last Day

Assalam guys,
It's our final day in Paris.Fuh,I just have little time to update, but guess what, one of my new resolutions for this year is I wanna write more posts in this blog.I don't mind if there are less readers these days, but I find it a good way to record of our activities, and at the same time,to look back of what we have done in the previous.

Ok,so on the last day in Paris, the luck was on our side as the sun decided to come out,and we planned to visit more places this day by foot.

We started by going to the Grand Mosque. It was a big and quite old mosque, taking after the Moroccan architecture and we were greeted so nicely by the people there.

 From inside the Grand Mosque

Later,we went to Center George Pompidou,a famous building with its own Architecture. This building is mainly famous if its 'rare' architecture, which the visitors can basically see that the building has no 'real' wall.Just imagine a body system without skin,so you can see what lies inside it.

Travel is our passion, but travelling with a baby is a total new experience.Maybe I shall write some tips on travelling with babies?

Next we went to Printemps, the shopping mall next to Gallerie Lafayette to top off the nice scenery of Paris. As recommended by many visitors, from up there, you can see the whole city with Eiffel Tower, and from the other side, you can see the Sacre Coeur. It was majestic!

And then we went to Gallerie Lafayette, only to see the upside down christmas tree in the mall itself.
Wanted to check on some collections of Longchamps, but the queue and the heat didn't permit me to do so.

We went Pont Alexandre III and from there to the Hotel des Invalides, where the tomb of Napoleon Bonaparte lies at.

At the back is the Pont Alexandre III/Bridge famous of its decorations

We ended our day by walking towards the Eiffel again for the last time and by the time we arrived there,it was the sun setting down.Ah,so lovely.

I am always in love with Paris. Will never get tired of this city.
InsyaAllah,I hope to come back here again someday.

Paris Day 2

On the next day in Paris,we walked and walked in the whole city, exploring Paris. It was not a sunny day though, but the low temperature did help us a lil bit.During this trip,we focused more on touring Paris without really going inside the museums or interesting places.

We walked along Seine River to have a nice view of Eiffel Tower from other part of Paris. And we found Paris very own Statue of Liberty.Well, many tourists do not know of this one because Eiffel gains a lot more fame than this one.And then we walked to Trocadero,a famous place to take pictures of Eiffel.Later we went to Arc De Triomphe and walked the whole way from there passing Champs Elysees, and walked until Musee Du Lourve.Fuh,if you've ever been to Paris, you must have idea how long we have walked that day.

More pictures to sum up our day.Till then, people.

Paris Day 1

Salam guys,
About a week ago,we just came back from our trip to the city of love,Paris.
It was my second time there, and this time,we spent more time in Paris itself, minus Versailles and we enjoyed Paris to the max by walking a lot.Fuh.Wait,did I mention that we babywore Alayna during the whole trip?So can you imagine how exhausting it was for us to bring her around in the city while walking? We love this whole new experience, though.

Because of this experience,we decided to babywear our daughter a lot more after this and we made a new investment on a new babywearer lately.

Well, please enjoy our Paris pictures on our first night and day there. There're just too many good pictures to choose from,so I hope you won't get bored seeing.

Till then.
