Sophia Alayna's 1st Birthday Party

Salam guys,
Finally we're back in our small crib here in Stuttgart.We left Malaysia with a lot of fond memories.
Just a day before our departure,we had a small birthday celebration for our little princess.

However the birthday princess was not in her best condition on her birthday,even until today.She was down with flu,cough,blocked nose and a little asthma known from the sound made everytime she breaths out and in.

So,not many pictures of her I can take that day considering that she needed extra care from me.The party went well nevertheless,many people came to celebrate the day of our princess,food was good,some even prepared exclusively by my mom despite the water supply out at home that day :)

It was a fun moment for everyone especially my family and I to see this little girl grows up in front of our own eyes.

Hopefully we can organize her birthday parties like this in coming years.

Taking a break from my japan trip posts.Today is a very special day for us,one year ago today I gave birth to a very special person in my life,a person who grew in my womb for 9 mnths and she's today one year old.

How time flies.My baby girl is no more a baby,she's now a toddler,although she'll remain my baby girl forever :)

As a mother,nothing I want in return from this special girl.I just want her to grow up to be a good person,smart,healthy,pious to her Creator and her parents.

"Oh Allah,

Protect this little girl in your righteous path,bless her life,and save her from any danger in this world"

We plan to make a small celebration for her tomorrow at my parents' house,but that's all depends on the water supply as we're currently running out of water supply at home :P

Assalam guys,

How have you guys been doing?

I'm so sorry for lack of updates this month.I just recovered(although not fully) from flu and sore throat since last week.

It has been quite a hard time for me actually in dealing with this sickness.Having a small baby that is much more prone to having your illness really intimidates me.

I tried my best not to let Alayna be to close to me because treating myself to getting better is easier than treating a sick baby.

Alhamdulillah,Allah granted me with better health again and the little one is also free from any illness.

Life as it is

Hi guys,

Right now I'm sitting back and relaxing while watching my baby falls in her deep sleep.

This few days have not been so easy for the 2 of us to handle her.

First she has started to sit and crawl around the house,dragging herself in the kitchen,and she loves picking up anything fascinating that she would find laying on the floor,that means the small small dust or small things such as paper or plastic.

I have caught her few times chewing on something unknown and she threw up because of the things she put inside her mouth.I had literally heart attack everytime she started to 'throw up' like that.

And then she started to sit on herself,a good progress though she cannot sit properly yet and tend to fall on her back!

Just yesterday I found out that she started to stand up on her own and hold on to the baby cot that  if she bows a little bit,she would fall out of the bed!

And it has been 2 days already since she's becoming so cranky.Anything seems wrong and I just lost of ideas of what might go wrong until I checked in her mouth,and found two teeth are growing out :)

Hahaha,quite a headace for me actually,not that I am complaining,but she just developed so many things in short time.

 Safety is my first priority right now.

Well,what my story has got to do with the pictures below?Just some pictures of our weekend routine,walking in the nature.Not that much of a nature actually,we only walked around the artificial lake that are surrounded by many buildings in an indutrial area not far from my husband's office.

Alayna's Room

Salam guys,

As promised here are the view of Alayna's room.We haven't yet done with it,but for now this would do.We plan to paint the wall white and maybe lessen the accessories a bit so that the room will look spacious as we still have many of our stuff inside her room.

As for the theme,we choose 'caca merba',haha,well,I'm pretty much suck at interior deco,but love to experiment this and that.

I like the wall to be white,while husband likes it blue,but we already agreed to paint it white in April

And also we want to change the curtains to let more sunshine comes through the window

Actually mama's the one who's really into owl lately,neither Alayna nor daddy :P

We also plan to remove the wallpaper because I think it's too much

Still have to sort our stuff on the shelves next to Alayna's bed cot,but well still struggling to find time for that :P

Half a Year

Time sure does fly.Our baby girl already turned 6 months old and I still keep whining to my husband all the pain I had to go through bringing her out to the world :P

This little miracle means a lot to us.Seeing her growing up in front of us each day is the most wonderful thing I could ever ask for.

Just some wrap-up of her growth month by month.Babies really grow up fast and change a lot in short time,no?

Few days old,was in NICU due to health problem for a week.My heart this time literally torn into pieces :(

One week old,the day we got to bring her back home and time our routines changed

About one month old,smiling in her sleep,and started to wean herself off pacifier.

Turned 2 months old in Malaysia,already gained a lot of weight compared to before

Turned 3 months old and started learning to flip her body so hard.Did it the first time at 3 and half months old

Turned 4 months old and a week after she turned 4 months old,I retired from breastfeeding due to lack of supply :(

Turned 5 months old and started to move back and forth around the house at 5 and half months old.We have started to be extra careful on her and I have started getting "headache" every now and then :P

 At 6 months old,she started to lift her butt up and sit on herself.We hope she can start crawling around soon and give mama and papa more headache,will ya? :P

2014 Recap

JANUARY

We went for Italy trip(several places) and I was in my early stage carrying my little one inside me

London trip.It was my first time there.

Hubby's birthday.We celebrated just the two of us

JULY

Germany won the world cup.The win feels so close to me considering I am married to a German and living here

My mom and sister came over to accompany me welcoming our first newborn 

AUGUST

Our precious one was born into the world and our lives completely changed :)

We were showered with love each day

SEPTEMBER

Flew back to Malaysia for 7 awesome weeks and it was Alayna's first long-haul flight,Malaysia was also the first foreign country she went to at 7 weeks old!

OCTOBER

My birthday celebrated with my beloved family and husband

Was back in Germany again

DECEMBER

Paris trip

Visited some cities in Germany(Munich,Hannover and Hamburg)

So overall,my 2014 concentrated on travels and in the process of my first pregnancy.

It was indeed a very joyful year for me and the rest of our family,except the fact that I,like other fellow Malaysians mourned the lose of MH370 and the ill-fated MH17 and towards the end of 2014,we lost another plane in an air crash,although it was not directly related to our nation.

Not to forget the massive flood that is happening nowadays in Malaysia,and the fact that my family lives in the East Coast,although they were not directly affected by it,but they were affected in another way.

I hope 2015 will continue to bring us joy and happiness and I hope that we will grow stronger in solving any obstacles coming in our way.

It feels just like yesterday I met my first born and she was so tiny and too fragile for me to handle.And next week she'll turn 4 mnths old already.

How time flies.And because of that feeling,I sometimes feel the little sadness inside me that my baby girl grows too fast and I wish that she could slow down on that a lil bit :P

Mother's dilemma.

Too much to expect from a soon-going-to-be-4-month-old baby.Today you see she's behaving this way,next you'll see she'll be behaving totally different :)

As parents,we feel so grateful with this gift,seeing her growing up each day is very exciting and full of surprises on what's coming next.

Alhamdulillah,as far as we've seen,she's a very strong and healthy little girl and we pray that she'll have an easy way ahead.
