Tips on Travelling with babies

Salam guys,

How are you guys doing?Now everything is back to normal.Husband is back in the office,leaving the two of us at home and sometimes,I forgot how to handle my baby alone :P

I guess,in this post I'll write a lil bit about how we handle a baby when we went travelling.

Alayna started her first travel by flying back to Malaysia at 7 weeks old.She was the youngest in the flight,but to be honest,we didn't experience it quite nicely.It was our first time ever travelling far with an infant and for that matter,we had done some study on how to handle a baby during our travel in the future :P

Ok,some tips we did in the flight to keep baby entertained because babies,like adults also easily get bored especially when they're on long flight.

 On the way to Germany from KLIA

1.For breastfeeding mommies,you can choose whether you want to nurse your baby directly or pump the milk into the bottle and feed the babies out of the bottle.

I chose the later.Because,apparently I was a lil bit hesitant to direct breastfeed.So,what I did was,I pumped the milk for at least 3 sessions in 12-13 hour-flight.So make sure you have at least 3 bottles with you in the cabin and bring your pumping machine with you on board.

2.Make sure the baby's ears are fully covered during take off or landing.For that matter,it depends on the babies,if the baby is asleep,try to cover his/her ears with fingers but if he/she is awake,make sure that they drink from the bottle of breastfed by the mother.This is to make sure that the air pressure in their ears are balanced because babies apparently are too small to balance themselves.

3.As for us,we also prepare the milk powder in the special storage so that we can easily pour the powder into the bottle without having to scoop out from the packaging.We got the special milk storage at Mydin for RM10.It's very beneficial.

Also don't forget to bring a thermos and a bottle to store hot and normal water which we can ask from the flight attendant.

P/S:Milk(EBM or powdered are permitted to go through the immigration scanning,so no worries :) )

4.Bring some toys and music toys for your babies.These to ensure your baby is entertained at any time during the flight.

5.Bring enough diapers for your baby.We bring at least 10 pieces along.And don't forget to prepare at least a piece of cloth and a pair of pants in case if your baby dirts himself/herself.

6.Also bring a changing mat because normally in the flight it is not provided.The airlines might provide only the changing board.

7.Bring the baby cream,baby powder and some oil for the comfort of the baby.

 These 3 items that we always bring around for our baby's comfort

8.The parents should also prepare themselves on how to comfort their baby when the baby is being cranky and times when the baby wants extra attention from their parents.Well,every baby is unique,and only their parents know best on how to give them their comfort on board.

 I guess that's all from me.Next time I will write some tips on travelling by car and when one's travelling in their destination.

We were showered with love each day

SEPTEMBER

Flew back to Malaysia for 7 awesome weeks and it was Alayna's first long-haul flight,Malaysia was also the first foreign country she went to at 7 weeks old!

OCTOBER

So overall,my 2014 concentrated on travels and in the process of my first pregnancy.

It was indeed a very joyful year for me and the rest of our family,except the fact that I,like other fellow Malaysians mourned the lose of MH370 and the ill-fated MH17 and towards the end of 2014,we lost another plane in an air crash,although it was not directly related to our nation.

Not to forget the massive flood that is happening nowadays in Malaysia,and the fact that my family lives in the East Coast,although they were not directly affected by it,but they were affected in another way.

I hope 2015 will continue to bring us joy and happiness and I hope that we will grow stronger in solving any obstacles coming in our way.

Our Little Family

It has been like ages since the last time I wrote in this blog.That time I was still in my confinement period,and now I'm all free!And guess what?My baby girl will turn 3 months old soon.How time flies!

And as I'm blogging this,we are now spending our 7 week-holiday in Malaysia,and our exact current location now is Singapore.It is indeed a nice 5 week-holiday so far,back with my family in Malaysia.

Everyone is loving the little one in the house unconditionally.Many things and events in the past 5 weeks since our arrival in Malaysia happened,starting with the Raya Aidiladha to Alayna's Aqiqah ceremony,our cuti-cuti Malaysia,and later my sister's engagement and now our trip in Singapore.

I will try to blog more of our travel and events,in the meanwhile,some pictures of our little family.

Welcome to the New Age

For some people,they won't understand why would I celebrate this blog's age.

For them,it doesn't mean anything,but for me,it means something huge.

I don't have much time to write long,enough to say that I love this blog so much,and will keep continuing writing it from time to time.

For the moment,I love writing about my favourite in fashion(The main reason why this blog happened) and later I added some more genres like homemade recipes and my travel diaries,maybe in the future,a year or two from now on,the direction of this blog will change little by little.

But,one thing for sure,the biggest 3 elements in this blog,fashion,recipes and travel diaries will always be inserted until I decide to stop writing one day ;-)

Make-up Products Review

Today I'd like to make a little review of my 3 make-up stuff from the same brand,Revlon that I've been using for quite some time.

The reasons why I love products from Revlon are because it offers its products at very reasonable price,and the products do good to my skin.

Apply only little amount of the foundation on your face,rubs gently all over and I like the matte feeling this foundation gives to my skin.

Tadaa.I love these 3 products and will keep using them because they never leave a big hole in my pocket ;-)

Valentino Inspired Heels

Shoes are things that I am obsessed about.In particular,heels.I know no heels were designed to give you comfort,but once in a while you'll find a pair of those that can give you both beauty and comfort.

When buying heels,there're many aspects I will consider about,rather than just buying them for they look tempting,or because they can simply make a girl look gorgeous by having an instant pair of long legs.

Because most of the time,pictures won't do any justice,and being a girl,we always fall so easily for such nice pictures and advertisement.

Well,in my case,a big consideration over time is all I give for when buying shoes.And a bit of money,of course.Not that I doubt shoes at less price will give me any good when wearing them,in most cases when I wore cheap heels,after a while they were torn out here and there.and of course,that amount of pain I had to go through isn't something I can stand with.

So,after many lessons learned,I now know what I want and how to accomplish a pair of heels that don't only give me beauty and an instant pair of long legs,but also comfort ;-)

Last Tuesday I purchased these red babies from Zara sale.Truth is,these shoes I had long wanted from Zara rack was reduced by RM40.Not much,but still within my budget ;-)

These shoes remind me so much of Valentino studs I always admire.Only that,I cannot afford to buy the real deals,and Zara always comes up with much or less similar designer inspired,and I was totally in love with this pair I bought recently!!

And foremost,they're comfortable too!What else do you want in a pair of heels if not beauty and at the same time comfort?

Can't wait to rock them!

2012 Wrap-up

Hello guys,

Finally I could write this a bit longer than usual.It's not that easy actually to write something this long but it's not like I'm gonna do this every often.Hope you won't mind reading as much as I don't mind writing it.

As another year passed,I was left with so many memories of it,be them good or bad,I will always take good experiences to enhance myself and make lesson of the bad ones.

I have long been blogging since 2005,which that time my blogging contents only focused on my life in Japan,my studies,places I've traveled to and not forget my personal life.After so much consideration,I shut down my old blog and started fashion blogging in 2011,only after I was highly motivated by Ramon who knows my huge interest in fashion but was too shy and lack of confidence to reveal myself to the world.

Time has passed since then,and this blog almost turned two.Though I am nothing famous,or having a lot of followers or readers,but I am happy on the other hand because from here I gain many experiences and friends,boosts my confidence and makes me aware of my self-esteem and I am not shy anymore to show myself to the world.

I can't deny that eventhough I enjoyed writing this blog very much,but there were times when I felt like shutting it down,times when I think I wanted to be a self-perfection from head to toe and times when I think I can't tolerate for not being perfect.

I know no one was born with perfection,but when you try hard to achieve that,then that's when your level of tense peaks up.At the end of the day,I realized no one can ever be perfect because we have to accept ourselves as who we were born with.

After  a while,I switched my mind to not shut this blog down,because I love it so much.One week without writing it feels like a year.

A bit on the personal side,I am happy to be born in a family who loves me and never fails to support me in whatever I do,until I feel like I want to stay single forever because I am afraid to be with another new family other than my own.In my family,I am not who you know me as.I am childish and my behavior can change from a 27 year old to 5 year old,even my parents admitted that.

But,I know they're not gonna be young forever,whether I want it or not,I have to build my own family one day,and at this number of age,most of my friends already married and own kids.

I am still striking for this one resolution to be fulfilled this year,and I can foresee,this will come my way pretty soon ;-)

And I want to do more travels as well with my future husband and good friend.I love travelling and want to explore places I've never been to,and hope this dream will come true.

I also want to cook and bake more at home,and if possible start my own small business selling pastries ;-)

Though I'm still bad at it.

Other than that,I want to reduce my shopping habit because this habit won't stop until I get determined to do it from my heart and I'm sure I can do this though I easily get attracted to the shops!Oh,God,help me on this.

And lastly(since I am getting lazier to write more already),I wanna say thank you to everyone of who has been reading my blog by actively commenting or silently though you see more craps here than interesting things,and I hope you'll come again here and I can ensure you one thing,I will write more and more things here,especially OOTD,only for you guys.

To 2013,please be good to me and I can't wait to board this whole journey with you.

Playing Bond Girl

Hello guys and happy weekend.

What a long week behind me,and finally I could sit back and relax at lovely home.

The past couple of weeks have been very hectic moments for me,work particularly and thus explains why I haven't been blogging lately.

Today for example,I just wanted to be at home,watching tv or cooking or baking like what I am doing now(recipe coming up right soon) and just have the time of my life.

Today also I decided to play with some make up and in particular,this lipstick I got recently,it's Maybelline  631 Red Garnet from Thejewels collection.

Putting it on reminds me of the on-off antagonist Bond Girl in the latest Skyfall movie,which name I don't remember.

I love to see her face in that movie and the color of the lipstick makes her look so fabulous yet sexy!

Though I am nothing near beautiful like her.

It feels like ages since the last time I wrote in here.Truth is,this week seems like the longest week for me,and it's not yet weekend.

Last saturday I came back from Eid-Adha holidays at my parents' house,and on Monday my dad called me to inform that my grandpa just passed the same day.

I took the last flight back home again that night to give the last visit to my late grandpa and rushed back to KL on Tuesday night,only to find out that I was allowed to take 3 days of compassionate leave.

My Precious Collection : Fridge Magnets

I once promised you to post my fridge magnet collection that I have been collecting officially since 2010.

Well,though not many,but I love them so much because it's not easy to get these from the original places that I have been to,and mostly,where my bf has been to.

I wish I were a world traveler just like he is,it's just the matter or time and money :(

Before this,I loved collecting key-chains from the places I have been to when I was still studying in Japan,and then postcards.

Salam gurls,

After being on hiatus for a while,I'm gladly to announce that this blog sphere will be back soon!

Haha,I felt so bad for abandoning it,but as I wrote in previous post,I have a few reasons why.

Thank God that I have finally purchased a new camera last week,which is GF5 Lumix that just came in the market last June.

I'm still in the process of learning every bit of it,but it should not be any harder as it is just a simpler version of DSLR,and in fact,a user-friendly product for people who are seeking for DSLR type,but not bulky and furthermore,not difficult to handle.

Kind of degrading my skill actually because I used 500D Canon before,until it was gone last month :( (you will always be in my heart,babe)

Nonetheless,I will promise more OOTD coming up soon!

And will make a brief review of the camera from time to time.

Oh,my,have a lot to say here,but want to keep this post short :P

Well,FYI,after the incident,I have moved out and now staying with a colleague in a very nice apartment,and I love the scenery from my window as there is a big lake(actually a mining left lake),the scenery is wonderful especially after sunrise,which I promise will take some pictures of it.

Hope I will get a better life,and better security in the future.

Aftermath

I don't know how to start writing,but this is what I'm gonna explain the reason why this blog has to be on hiatus for a while or perhaps for a longer time until everything turns back to normal.

I guess,some who have been following me on instagram or fb have known about an incident happened to me last Thursday,for those who do not know,my home was robbed when  2 friends and I were at the office.

Many valuable belongings got stolen including my biggest contributors to this blog,my laptop and DSLR.

I was in real shock and couldn't believe everything I ever had gone in a blink of an eye.

It was not the first case happened to us,last year after 2 months moving in,my cell-phone was stolen and we were  peeped during shower unnoticed!

I told myself,moving in/out is not an easy task,needs a lot of money as well,so we decided to stay and see if the situation will get any better.

It did,especially after the one house(a bunch of young men) we suspected was the one behind all of these,after they moved out,everything was fine until last Thursday.

So,they got into our house from the roof through the ceiling,and from my observation,only people who know the structure of the house,or at least,was once in house knows how to get inside through the ceiling..

Police couldn't do much,and I don't hope they would do much*sarcastism* ,so this is the end of the story,I'll move out anytime soon.In fact,I have left my home on Friday and now staying with a friend for a while until I find a perfect place with high security to live in.

So,this explains why I cannot continue blogging for a while( don't know how long "while" 's gonna be).

It's not easy and it's saddening me because I love fashion blogging and from here I made a lot of new friends,and finally get the chance to share my ideas and get inspired by others' styles as well.

In fact,few weeks before this incident happened,my bf has started working on making a new layout for this blog and I have planned to organize my first giveaway as I had promised months ago.It was all very exciting but now I have to forget all of these for a while.

It's not gonna be easy to say goodbye for a while,but I do hope when I come back,you guys still remember me and give me more support!

However,in the meantime,I will always update my instagram and will upload OOTD of the day from time to time.If you're also on instagram,don't forget to follow me at @hidayash or can just check at the side bar.

Last but not least,to ladies especially,

Take care of ourselves because crime could happen at anywhere and at anytime .Nowadays,in Malaysia we heard so many frightening stories about ladies got robbed at car park,ladies got raped and many more.

We are weak by nature,but nontheless,bear in mind that if we think and act smartly,we can avoid such bad things from happening.

Blazers and Jackets

Hot weather in Malaysia doesn't limit me from dressing in jackets and blazers.But,of course,I avoid from going to open-air places with jackets/blazers on for too long.Favourite piece when going shopping in the mall.

Liebe Aus Deutschland

I haven't received parcel from my bf for quite some time already.The last one didn't arrive at all,logistic problem,I guess.

So 2 days ago I received one from him.You know that moment when you received something from your special someone,you smile till ears and you know the parcel was specially wrapped only for you,only for you :)

Ramon sent me a leather jacket and a blazer to replace the 2 jackets that didn't arrive at all.They both from H&M.Well,I am a big fan of blazers and jackets,so I guess I'm gonna show you my jacket collection soon.

He also sent me some magnets from places he traveled to recently.Well,I also have a huge collection of fridge magnets from many places around the world,mostly gifted by Ramon because he is a world traveller!
